Community Based Organizations

We recognize the importance of our role in educating, strengthening, and nurturing our future leaders and decision makers—after all, our future is in their hands.

One in Purpose

We endeavor to cultivate relationships with organizations, businesses, and leaders within our own community. We know that when the community collectively invests in its youth, families, educators, and community members become one in purpose as stakeholders in the success of the rising generation.

Partnerships

Developing partnerships is good for all of us. We all benefit from a stronger sense of community, and students benefit from an enriched curriculum made possible through our partners’ contributions of health services, resources, and internship and employment opportunities.

We are proud to partner with the following organizations and businesses:

  • Child Center of New York (CCNY)
CCNY is the only CBO partner staff in our building and they work daily with our scholars on a number of services including job/internship opportunities, SYEP, WIOA, WLG program, mental health lunch groups, extra support for families in need, etc.
    • One of the services of CCNY is the Wellness Center. The Wellness Center has partnered with August Martin High School to provide on-site support and services to our scholars and families. We work alongside the school community to ensure that every scholar gets the support they need to be successful, not only in their academics but in all other aspects of life. We look forward to speaking with you further as we collaborate together towards this goal!
    • The Wellness Center offers a range of services for all of our scholars, even with remote learning! Individual and selective services available. Have you noticed changes in your child such as sad moods, worrying or fearful, aggressive behavior, school performance issues, or more? Let us help! Please see our Wellness Center flyer.
