The Quality Review is a formal evaluation by an experienced educator who assesses the school organization and whether it improves student achievement. The Quality Review report describes what the reviewer saw at the school—what life is like there—through classroom observation, document review, and conducting interviews with parents, students, and educators. The Annual Arts in School report provides information about the arts education programs currently offered to students in each school as well as the allocated resources to support them. Data is collected from the school’s response to the Annual Arts Education Survey and quantitative school data collected by the Department of Education. Learn more.

The comprehensive Educational Plan (CEP) serves as a school's blueprint for implementing instructional strategies, professional development opportunities, and parent involvement activities that promote continuous school improvement.

August Martin has been identified by the New York State Education Department (SED) for receivership under the New York City Schools Chancellor.
